BUILD Magazine’s Design & Build Awards 2026
We’re delighted to share that Lowie Bricks has been named in BUILD Magazine’s Design & Build Awards 2026 for being Leaders in sustainable building materials research.
Recognised for our work in developing sustainable, affordable and authentic building materials, the feature explores the story behind Lowie Bricks and our mission to challenge perceptions around low-carbon construction.
Since 2019, we’ve been developing a new approach to brick, one that combines the appearance and performance of traditional fired masonry with a significantly lower carbon footprint.
With up to an 81.3% reduction in carbon emissions compared to traditional clay bricks, Lowie is proving that sustainable materials don’t need to mean compromising on quality, appearance or cost and it’s great to be recognised for the hard work that’s gone into getting this far!
The feature also discusses an exciting new innovation for the Lowie Brick, as we expand our range of bricks with more colour options available, we’ll bring you more on this soon!

Winners at the FOOTPRINT+ Changemaker Awards 2026
The awards recognise the projects, products and people driving measurable change across the built environment, with a focus on real-world impact, innovation and delivery.
Thanks to FOOTPRINT+ and the judging panel, we had a great couple of days at the event and met some really fantastic, like-minded people who are really pushing sustainability in the built environment!
